2) E2000 fiber optic patch cord

E2000 fiber optic patch cords are with E2000 fiber optic connectors which was developed by Diamond, E2000 features a spring-loaded shutter used to protect the ferrule from dust and scratches. E2000 fiber connectors is similar size of SC fiber connectors. E2000 fiber optic patch cords can be single mode or multimode,PC or APC polish. E2000 fiber optic patch cord colors are same as SC fiber optic patch cord, blue for single mode PC E2000 fiber cable, green for single mode APC E2000 cable.
3) SC fiber optic patch cord

The SC fiber optic patch cord is with SC fiber optic connector, which was invented by the Japanese company Nippon Telegraph and Telephone. It is one of the most widely used type of fiber optic patch cords. The SC fiber optic patch cords can be simplex or duplex (zipcord), single mode or multimode. For single mode SC fiber optic patch cords , there are PC polished ones and APC polished ones, for multi mode SC fiber optic patch cords, they are all PC polished ones. SC fiber optic patch cord features low cost , simplicity as well as good durability, the ceramic ferrules of SC fiber optic patch cords make them accurate alignment. 4) ST fiber optic patch cord

ST fiber optic patch cords are with ST fiber optic connectors which was developed by AT&T Company. this kind of cable is with straight tip type terminations. there is only simplex ST fiber optic patch cords and no duplex ones.ST fiber optic connectors are usually with a metal housing ,although there are still plastic housing ST fiber connectors, more and more people tend to use metal housing ST.ST fiber optic patch cords are widely used in multimode fiber optic LANs, but there are also ST fiber optic patch cords used for single mode fiber optic network, and ST APC cables are also developed.
5) FC fiber optic patch cord

FC fiber optic patch cords are with FC fiber optic connectors ,which is a screw type connection. FC fiber optic patch cords were very much popular in the past ,but people tend to use LC and SC to replace FC more and more. FC fiber optic patch cords are with a ceramic ferrule for connection ,FC fiber cables can be single mode and multi mode, PC or APC polish.
6) MU fiber optic patch cord

MU fiber optic patch cord is with MU fiber optic connector, which is also the invention of NTT in Japan ,it is with plastic housing and a push pull structure.MU is also a small size fiber optic patch cord, MU fiber optic connector is similar size of LC and sometimes people name MU to be small-SC. MU fiber optic patch cords are available in single mode and multimode ,PC and APC polish.
7) MT-RJ fiber optic patch cord

MT-RJ fiber optic patch cords are used in single mode and multimode fiber optic connections. the name MT-RJ means this fiber optic connector is developed from MT type and RJ type connectors. MT-RJ features two-fiber connection ,that is to say ,two fiberglass connection within one MT-RJ fiber optic connector. another special point is MT-RJ is with a plastic housing and a plastic ferrule. there are female type MT-RJ fiber optic patch cords and male type MT-RJ fiber optic patch cords, the difference is male type MT-RJ is with two pins on each of the MT-RJ fiber optic connector.
8) MTP/MPO fiber optic patch cord

MTP/MPO fiber optic patch cords are with MTP/MPO fiber optic connectors. the MTP/MPO fiber optic patch cords are used in Ribbon type multi fiber assemblies. unlike simplex or duplex, there are several fiberglass connections in one MTP/MPO fiber optic patch cord ,for example,4 fiber,8 fiber,12 fiber ,etc. typical MTP/MPO fiber optic patch cord assemblies like MTP/MPO to 8 LC ,MTP/MPO to 12 MT-RJ ,etc. MTP/MPO fiber optic patch cords are also available by single mode and multimode, PC and APC polish.
9) D4 connector

2.5mm ferrule. Screw-on. Simplex only.
D4 connectors are made from a 2.5mm diameter ceramic (zirconia) ferrule for durability. They have a high-performance threading mounting system and a keyed body for repeatability and intermateability.
10) FDDI connector

Duplex only, multimode only.
FDDI connector utilizes two 2.5mm ferrules. The ferrules are sheltered from damage because of the fix shroud that has been constructed in the FDDI connector. FDDI connector is a duplex multimode connector designed by ANSI and is utilized in FDDI networks. FDDI connectors are generally used to connect to the equipment from a wall outlet, but the rest of the network will have ST or SC connectors.
11) ESCON connector

ESCON connectors derive their name from their original application, IBM's enterprise system connection (ESCON) for mainframe computers. ESCON connectors are similar to FDDI connectors, but contain a retractable shroud instead of a fixed shroud. ESCON connectors have two 2.55 mm ceramic ferrules and a robust strain relief design.
12) SMA 905 and SMA 906 connector

Simplex only. Multimode only.
SMA 905 and 906 connectors make use of threaded connections and are ideal for military applications because of their low cost multimode coupling.
SMA 905 and SMA 906 multimode connectors are available with stainless alloy or stainless steel ferrules. The stainless alloy ferrule may be drilled from 125um to 1550um to accept various fiber sizes.
SMA 906 ferrule has a step, as shown in the following picture, which requires a half sleeve to be installed when mating a SMA 906 connector with SMA 905 mating sleeves.
13) Biconic Connector

Simplex only.
Available in single mode and multimode.
Biconic connectors exhibit a cone-shaped ferrule that helps to align the optical fibers at the connection interface. Their robust design makes biconic connectors well-suited for military fiber optic applications. Fiber Connections terminates biconic connectors on either single mode or multimode fiber optic cable. The ferrule can be made with either polymer or metal.
Biconic connector’s applications include LAN and premises networks, data processing systems, medical instrumentation, remote sensing, telemetry, and cable television.

single mode fiber patch cord and multi mode fiber patch cord: Single mode patch cables are usually yellow jacket color, with a 9/125 fiberglass, typical wavelength 1310nm or 1550nm. While multi mode patch cable are usually with orange jacket color, with 50/125 or 62.5/125 fiber glass, typical wavelength 850nm. Single mode fiber cables feature long working distance ,multimode fiber cables are much shorter working distance compared with single mode ones.
